This release is not merely another dark ambient album. It is a sonic ritual, an offering, as well as a devotional taufr to The Black-One/Inn Svarta: HEL. She who rules in cold and darkened halls below. It is the first of 3 offerings to be conjured forth as tribute to the daughter of Angrboda.

The concept of this magical talisman you are about to hear is based on the Hagal rune. A rune strongly associated with the Black One in relation with her necromantic and primordial Ur essence.
The disruptive energies of Hagal permeate the very essence of this sonic offering. “Hagalaz”, a rune of deep and profound exploration of the unconscious. Though challenging and destructive “hail” may be considered, it is nonetheless filled with potentiality and the “seed” of creative change through hardship and great turmoil on the part of the Fjöllkunnigr who willingly chooses to work with this most powerful force.
